Getting started
How do I install Decluttr AI?
Download Decluttr AI from the App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). Open the app and follow the onboarding to grant photo access and set up your preferences.
Why does Decluttr AI need photo access?
To find duplicates, blurry shots, and large videos, the app needs to read your photo library on-device. Nothing is uploaded. You can grant Full Access or Limited Access, Limited works but lets the app analyze only the photos you explicitly select.
How long does the first scan take?
For most libraries (5,000 photos) the first scan completes in under 60 seconds and starts streaming results within 8 seconds. Larger libraries take proportionally longer. Subsequent scans are incremental, only new photos are analyzed.

How does the free trial work?
Pro Weekly and Pro Yearly include a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. You will not be charged until the trial ends. Cancel at any time before the trial ends to avoid being charged.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple or Google, not by us. Cancel any time:
Cancelling at least 24 hours before the period ends prevents the next renewal.
How do I restore my Pro subscription on a new device?
Sign in with the same Apple ID or Google account you used to purchase, then open Settings → Restore Purchases inside Decluttr AI. Your Pro entitlement will appear within a few seconds.
How do I request a refund?
Refunds are processed by Apple or Google per their respective policies:
Privacy & data
Are my photos uploaded anywhere?
No. All photo analysis runs entirely on your device using Apple Vision, Core ML, and on supported devices Apple Intelligence Foundation Models. We do not upload any photo, its contents, or its embeddings. See the Privacy Policy for the full data flow.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Decluttr AI uses an anonymous identifier stored in your device Keychain to remember your Pro entitlement. There is no email, password, or profile.
What's in the Secret Vault?
The Vault is a Face ID / PIN-protected space inside the app. Files moved into it are encrypted with AES-GCM and a key stored in your device's Secure Enclave, only the device can decrypt them.
Troubleshooting
The scan seems stuck
Very large libraries (30,000+) can take a few minutes on first scan. If the progress bar hasn't moved in five minutes, force-quit the app, reopen it, and tap "Resume scan." For very low-storage devices, plug in to power, Decluttr AI uses Background Processing to finish deep scans while charging.
I accidentally denied photo permission
Go to your device Settings → Decluttr AI → Photos and choose "Full Access" (or "Limited Access" for selective scanning). Then reopen Decluttr AI to retry the scan.
My Pro purchase didn't unlock
Open Settings inside Decluttr AI and tap "Restore Purchases." If that doesn't work within a minute, ensure you're signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account used for the purchase. Still stuck? Contact support with your order ID.
